Where Tradition and Innovation Meet
Where Tradition Meets Innovation in Plant Production
Welcome to BM Flor, a nursery based in Albenga, Italy, where horticultural tradition blends seamlessly with a passion for research and innovation.
I’m Eleonora Bonifazio, and I run BM Flor as part of a family legacy rooted in over 150 years of agricultural and nursery experience. Our story began when farming was not just a business, but a way of life. Over time, our focus shifted: in the 1980s, we transitioned from traditional vegetable cultivation to ornamental horticulture, dedicating ourselves to high-quality plants designed for professional projects and sustainable landscapes.
Our Nursery
Today, BM Flor is a trusted partner for nurseries, garden centers, landscape architects, and green-space designers looking for resilient, innovative plant varieties that make a difference in every environment.
Family Tradition
and Passion for Experimentation
My journey represents a conscious return to the land. After following a different academic and professional path far from horticulture, I chose to lead the family business. Although I lacked the technical background of those raised in nurseries, I was driven by curiosity and a strong desire to learn. So I studied, traveled, and experimented. Today, I lead BM Flor with a constant focus on climate change and the challenges faced by modern landscapes. Our plant collections—including perennials, xerophytes, halophytes, flowering salvias, sedum, grasses, and groundcovers—are selected for their ability to withstand harsh conditions, tolerate saltwater, and thrive even in the hottest summer months.

Innovation and Experimentation: Our Philosophy
At BM Flor, we never settle for the ordinary. We love experimenting and introducing new, surprising plant varieties to the market. From our work with Stevia in the 1990s to developing fuchsia trees, we’ve always strived to combine beauty, resilience, and sustainability. Research is an integral part of what we do. It’s not just about botanical names or catalogs—it’s about discovering new ways to improve, adapt plants to changing climates, and transform our passion for cultivation into meaningful solutions for green industry professionals.
